Famous tourist attraction in Tsedang includes the Samye Monastery, one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet Yamdrok-Tso and burial site of Tibetan Kings.
Gyantse lies on a historical trade route between India and Tibet and has long been a crucial link for traders and pilgrims journeying across the Himalayan plateau. It is a fourth largest city in Tibet, but has managed to hang on its small town charm and laid back atmosphere. The most famous attraction here is Gyantse Kumbum the largest Chorten in Tibet. This white Chorten encloses a seemingly endless series of mural-filled chapels and offers awesome views from its upper levels. The Pelkhor Chode Monastery is located at the foot of the Tsong Hill in the northwest of Gyantse is another famous attraction. You may also take a trip to little visit monasteries or wander around the back streets of the town.
It is referred to as “Heavenly Lake” due to its stunning beauty, lofty atmosphere, purely blue water and spiritual association. It is the highest salt water lake in the world.
